The Number tot he Shilo Inn is 208-465-3250 Double and Kings are available for $79.00 a nite for the event which includes breakfast. Mention PKA or Gold Cup Sprint race when making reservations. WE HAVE A RACE THIS WEEKEND SUNDAY May 19!
Welcome all to the 50TH year of racing in our club.That's right, if you look at the front page of SnakeRiverKarters.com it states Racing Since 1963! Karting has come such a long way and I look forward to another fun and successful year of racing.
A lot to cover and we're busy getting all of the final details in place for this weekend. Here are the highlights and reminders so make your list. Keep an eye on the web site for updates.
Practice all day Saturday Starting at 9 am, cyou can register for your weekend race and practice for free.
RACE DAY REMINDERS....Please don't forget the important items you'll need to to have a successful race day. Please take time to get your equipment squared away to make the day as smooth as possible. You'll need to pass pre-tech on Sunday so a quick review of the rules and review of your needed REQUIRED safety equipment is in order. Please bring the following with you at every race or practice and BE SURE to have it with you during pre tech

First Aid Kit
Helmet (no ecceptions, must be checked for current snell or SFI ratings, see rules)
Tech Card
Be sure you have gone over the whole kart for loose bolts, safety wire in key locations (New racers see me or any other senior club member, board member)
FOOD CONSESSION UPDATE..We will have a food cart for the race on sunday the 19th. The Canivore and More looks as though they have a grear menu and are also scheduling to be at the track the weekend of the Gold cup. Cick here for the menu! The pic wouldn't rotate so you'll have to do that yourself.
GOLD CUP RACE AT SNAKE RIVER KARTERS MAY 24TH-26
Please be familiar with the Gold Cup Rules link below and it's easy cheasy for Gold Cup racing. Get in touch with any board member if you have questions.
Coming up next weekend is our Gold Cup race. Sorry that information has been late coming, but we have had a few challenges. The Clubs will have to not only Host the Gold cups for the remainder of the season, but will have to officiate as well.
Also the board of directors have decided to make this a club points race as well. The clubs around the northwest all make the Gold cup race a regular points race in their own club as well. The cost is slightly higher but we'll be giving you a race entry for the next club event. We need club members to attend and it will be a club points race. It's more race time and it's a unique oportunity to race with others from around the Northwest. Fees and information below and additional details will be given on race day the 19th.
It's important to remember that your current set up on your kart is per IKF rules but please Look over the 2013 Region 6 Rules

The Gold cup runs an all day practice on Friday the 24th and Racing the 25th and 26th. The club is going to have your class points specifically matched to the days racing and will be as follows BUT YOU CAN RACE BOTH DAYS FOR GOLD CUP POINTS OR JUST FOR FUN!

2013 Membership Registration
Denise Cochand is taking memberships. She can now notarize all minor consent release forms so that only one form is needed for the season BUT you will need copies of a birth certificate and your ID. Please bring this with you.
TIRES ARE IN, CHANGES IN PRICE!!!
Larry Robb will have tires at the swap meet for sale. The prices are now 5 dollars higher than previously posted due to unavoidable freight increases, but all profits go back to your club. The MG tires will be priced as follows.
Jr Reds 4.50 set for $205.00
Sr Reds set of 2 4.50 and 2 6.50 $215.00
Shifter yellow 2 4.50 and 2 7.10 $220.00
Kid kart tires are open rule, and Tag/Rotax can run MG or Mojo, Larry also has Mojo for sale.

Meeting April 2nd at Casa Mexico on Fairview Boise
It's been a long month and we've got many projects coming down the pipe. My apologies for not sending out additional info. We've had the cruds hit my household. Here's a few things up and coming.
Practice Schedule Posted.
Please see the schedule tab and click on "practice sessions" to see the details. If you are interested in officiating practices please let me know. We will not be handing out packets this year and need to schedule practices. Plenty of dates open. Please read the guidelines and follow the directions.
Rules and Schedule
The 2013 schedule and points will be up to date and Straitened out soon. I do know it's goofed and I'm having issues with that section of the web site. All of the dates as of now are good thru July, not much has changed with the rules, but most important are the tires are only MG with the exception of Rotax. Please call or email if you have any questions. Stay tuned.
Memberships
Please remember to download the 2013 membership application from snakeriverkarters.com and get it sent in as soon as possible. Our ultimate goal is to receive your membership before the end of February so that we can make it one step closer to our goal of paving. We have a multi-year membership available to boost funds. Tires (updated 3-15)
Kid karts will be exempt from tire rules and will have an open tire policy. Rotax karts can run Mojo or MG tires if you desire to be in keeping with the Rotax series which runs Mojo. If you are planning on running the Rotax series, Mojo will be the way to go.
Please remember to order your tires as soon as possible. MG will be the club rule tire for the 2013 season. Details on the snakeriverkarters.com web site front page. Keep in mind, proceeds were donated to YOUR club from last years sales. You don’t have to buy them from Larry Robb, but he made a rather generous donation of $2000.00 to the club for our paving project taking zero profit from the sales. Please support yourself by supporting the club!

This year in an effort to raise funds to complete our track re-pave we are asking that memberships be sent in as soon as possible with a requested deadline of Feb 28th. We have also added a section for multi year memberships to boost the income. We hope to have plans in place to pave as early as possible to allow for the Season opening.
